 28th November to 4th December 2005

All of the external doors are now completed - with reveals ready for plastering.  In fact all of the odds and ends are now ready for the plasterers return - sounds like the title of a nightmare but hope it wont be that bad!! The doors, from Green Building Store are fab - really nice and solid with a great action and not too bad to install either.

We've done a bit more painting but were one person down for the week so it was a tad slow.  The consumer units have started going in as have sockets and light sockets (5amp rings in the bedrooms).

We've also finished off the plywood in the kitchen to which wall cupboards will be mounted and have started levelling the basement floors in preparation for laying the cheap floor tiles - found an excellent supplier on the web Kimpton Flooring - I was going to use rubber tiles (with knobs on!) but found a cheap vinyl slip resistant tile for £5/m2 so was very happy.

Have also lined up getting the water and electricity connected - loads still to do but everything seems to be coming together quite nicely - shouldn't be too much longer now......
