 24th to 30th October 2005

Plastering again - full speed ahead - ground floor coming along nicely with all the major rooms now completed.

Whilst this was going on we carried on with the preparation of the basement - building the false walls, insulating them and then plasterboarding them.  As well we put the gutter and fascia up on the small piece of roof by the back door and installed the last window (hurrah) which is a small window between the utility and rear draught lobby.

We had hoped to put the back door in but I had failed to notice that the cills were to follow so this was put on hold.  However the doors supplied by the Green Building Store are great.

The most stunning change of the week was the first paint to go on inside the house - it really does make a difference to both house and moral!
