Whoosh another week where things flew by.  Slaters started on Monday and by the end of Friday they were a day away from finishing.  This despite the fact that I had not got any slate and a halves (for doing the edges around verges, Veluxs and so on) - a rapid couple of trips up to Hereford sort that out though.

The other delay for the slater was not having the ridge tiles - not my fault this time as they had arrived last week but were light grey rather than blue/black.  It has now taken Redland/Lafarge over a week to get 47 tiles from Leicestershire to Herefordshire - think I might even have been able to walk it in that time.

The slating looks great and the slater has been excellent - Tony Robins from Lydney - see links.  He has flown through the work but has kept the quality to the right level as well.

Whilst the roof was changing quicker than a quick thing we were working on the boxes for insulation - these have now got a method sorted so next week should see more going up quicker - oh yes and the stone grew and grew.
