Click on the images below to see a larger version. 1st to 7th November 2004 Quite a lot happened this week although it didn't really feel like much was going on. The
copper on the flat roof was finished and looks great. The Velux on the flat roof was installed. The rest of the roof was finished off. The dry verge system was put in place - although that would
have been easier if we hadn't nailed the battens down first (I had intended to use Ambi Dry but couldn't as it doesn't fit slate so had to use Klober's product - different way of fixing them
unfortunately). Lead went into the valleys - about 5 more lengths to finish off. Large Oak lintel in place over the large windows. Started work on the I beam structures that will hold the
external insulation where there isn't stone covering the building. Bargeboards started to go up. Slate arrived on site. Oh yes and the stone crept on up. (This is not a comment on the Stonemason but just
the nature of the process - fortunately as I said this last week and he looked at the website he found it funny and agreed!) |
