We thought that the ridge tile would turn up - but they didn't even get as far as the builder's merchants until Friday - not best pleased.

So no work on the roof this week.  Instead we concentrated on the external boxes that will hold the insulation and the windows.  These are being covered in Panelvent and then wrapped in a felt to protect from rain.

During the dry moments we also put some of the bargeboards up and started on the soffits but this is not the most pleasant of jobs when rain is dripping into your ears, down your neck and you're sitting on damp scaffold boards.

The stone also jumped up - the gable is about 0.5m from being completed.

Sorry about the pictures this week - it was rather dark when I took them and had to tweak the brightness so you could see anything!
