Agreement was reached regarding the error in supply of render - everyone satisfied.

This finish is OK - a few hairline cracks but nothing too bad - another item that only I'll see!

With everything back on track we put up the downpipes (including repositioning a section of gutter to avoid having a downpipe 300mm from the face of the wall - opps!), cleaned round the windows (resealing where the green oak has already shifted) and then the scaff came down.  It was quite nice to see the house as it will actually look - fortunately I do like it more and more!

We also fitted the cowl for the ventilation system - made to our spec - two pipes side by side but the stale air has vents in the upper side of the cowl and the inlet in the lower - so in theory no crossover.

After that it was eventually time to finish off the last section of roofing - well to battens anyway.  This was over the rear draught lobby and couldn't be done until the render was complete.  Whilst working on this there was much debate about where to start slating and how best to do it - we agreed in the end - get the slater back!
