Well the basecoat arrived (in the end) on Monday morning so the renderer returned on
Tuesday and life was good!
Wednesday the topcoat started again and life was good!
Thursday the topcoat was being scratched down andit became clear that we had been supplied with two different types of top coat -
luckily the same colour but they result in a different texture of finish. Life was not good - one very unhappy customer spoke with suppliers who - all credit to them - agreed they (the manufacturers in N.Ireland)
had messed up. We're now talking about how they are going to compensate us so no further comment until that is sorted.
Fortunately we could finish the rest of the render without too much incident. The other good
thing is I've found myself a plasterer for the inside of the house - Steve and Rich have been excellent - quality good and they have dealt with all of the hassle without any fuss. I'd totally recommend them - see the
