11th to 17th July 2005

This week was pretty much like last - insulation on the floors, UFH pipe on the insulation, marking final screed levels, blocking holes between floors, drains outside, clipping pipes with the digger and repairing them(!!) and it was too hot - although the basement was lovely and cool.

The other thing we started was building false stud walls on the walls of the house that back into the slope of the land and are therefore underground.  We're positioning the stud wall 60mm off the wall to best insulate the house with the minimum of bridging, both the gap at the back and the gaps between the battens will then be insulated.
