Short week, slow week!

However I for one am very happy - a period I have been waiting for for 5 months.  We have spent this week filling in the hole around the basement with clean stone and soil (stone near the house, soil away from it).  Some of the places we can't get a machine to so it is slow, hot work but it is great to be doing it (well to have completed a section!).

The pictures this week are very boring unless you like backfill but it means something to me!

Other stuff on the go - looking at buying scaffold and paying someone to put it up for me - the hire charge is around £2000 for 8 weeks with £100 per extra week over that period.  We will not get the externals done in 8 weeks so it looks like an openended cost to me - and I don't like that.
