Normal activites of back filling continued along with putting up insulation (120mm Kingspan) behind the stone elevation. At the end of the week blockies returned and the rear retaining wall of the house
shot up to the final height as did most of the freestanding retaining wall - just got to fill them with concrete now!! All of the internals of the ground floor are ready for beams - but we're going to
get concrete out of the way first. Also before we do that we need to get some scaffolding - a tad too risky some 5.5m off the ground in places. One more bit of footings appeared as did my new toy -
the JCB 525 telescopic forklift - it seems rather huge after the old Kramer. Quotes are on their way from Vrogum windows - am not holding breath as I know they will be expensive. Everything seems to be
on track and going well at the end of the week. I wonder what lies around the corner? |
