A week of rapid change!

We started off by making temporary door and window frames to enable the blocks to be built to the correct position to form the openings in the internal walls.  Then we placed all of the ceiling clips up - these hang from the concrete beams and enable you to fix wood battens below the ceiling and hence form a cavity to run services, insulation and put up plasterboard.

Once these were in place we could grount the beams and blocks with a cement/sand mix - on a hot day sweeping this wet mix around to fill the cracks was a rather warm job - something very nice to look back at.

Having got a safe working platform the blockies came back and up shot the walls - up to 9 courses in places in 2 short days.

It is very nice to be out of the ground but there are so many things to organise at the moment and so much more to do!
