15th to 22nd August 2004

Despite the rain the 1st floor walls went from zero to complete this week - nice when something goes right!

This week was mainly spent making sure I have all of the timber for wall plate, roof , attic floor and the insulation boxes on the outside of the house sorted for next week so we can crack on with that.  Other than that a very gentle week hoisting blocks and muck up the scaffold so the whirlwinds in the blocking gang can keep going - 11 packs of blocks on the first day alone!  I have also arranged for the scaffolding to be raised one lift - let's hope that is less tramatic than the first lift.

I picked up a couple of oak lintles from Dean Oak - they are going to look great built into the stone.
