Oh dear - back to concrete - we mixed and laid about 2.75m3 - footings for the rear draught lobby and an extra bit of retaining wall.  It might have been easier to get it delivered but it was tricky to get a machine near enough so having a truck on site looking to lose 2.75m3 in 20 minutes was more hassle than it was worth.  At least that was the logic - who knows what the best way to do it was!

Brickies came back and laid 3 courses behind the retaining wall and 5 courses of bricks on the outer leaf.  This means we can fill the retaining wall with concrete and the stonemason can start as soon as he is ready.  The steel lintles over the large windows (2.71m) were manually lifted into place and we placed mineral wool into the base of the cavities.  We also had a delivery of Kingspan insulation from Seconds and Co - some of which is 120mm thick and 1.2m x 2.4m!

Had a drive of a JCB 525 telescopic fork lift - the old Kramer is struggling to keep up as we are getting higher

Must get quotes for windows soon and sort out exactly how we're going to do the scaffolding.....
