12th to 18th July 2004

Stonemason came and sorted some stone but none laid this week - he's still finishing off the previous job.

Spent this week finishing off small bits of retaining wall at the rear of the house and backfilling and general preparation for filling, scaffolding and the next floor.

Finalised the windows we're going to use - Vrogum from Denmark look like the ones.

Got the digger fixed - dirt in the fuel lift pump.

Floor beams were ordered and delivered this week(!) - unfortunately I forgot to specify a 6 wheeler for delivery and the beams had to be dropped at the end of the lane.  They were dropped in a way where I couldn't spin the forklift in cleanly and ended up breaking one beam by catching it with a wheel - damn.

Still nothing much else went wrong - apart from my main labourer deciding he wanted to move away from the area.
