Loads more beams going in to form the false ceilings in the basement and ground floor..arm and cordless drill breaking job!

This time we got the glulam beam up in place and secure without breaking anything else and are now ready to install the windows and door frame.

With the garage doors being delivered the question of storage came up so we decided the best place to store them was in place.  They look very wierd being white undercoat - they will be painted the same blue as the drainpipes, eaves and soffits - but not for some time I suspect.

Started running alarm cables around the house and have got the almost final details of the sprinkler system  - I think that given the regs we would have had to meet with fire doors and the like the cost of the sprinkler is about neutral - what we spend would equal the cost of fire doors and so on - and we don't have to have all the automatic closers and so on.  A very good plus - DIS Sprinklers in Gloucester are the suppliers and have been very helpful so far.

The other major visual impact has been starting to put up the stainless lath, backed by building paper, over which the render will be applied.  A fairly straightforward job which most probably means I've missed something major.....we'll see.
