8th to 14th May 2006

A day and a half outside saw the steps finished and a few other jobs around the site.

Inside work focused on the strair treads - joining 9 of them, cutting to size, sanding and starting to finished them.

There was also the last bit of finishing on the upstairs wooden floor.  With this completed cleaning could commence - the bathroom emerging from a thick covering of detritus to actually appear inviting! With the floor cleaned some stopgap curtains went up and some furniture (and toys) migrated in.  The size of the rooms hit home when we put up a double bed and it looked tiny - you might just squeeze 3 double bed in!!

Downstairs we cleaned and finished some of the stone floor - this is a matt wax finish.

As well as that doors went up and door furniture went on.

Sorry Danny - for some strange reason work doesn't seem to have slowed whilst you're on holiday !!!!!!!!!!!!
