A week of some great progress but a couple of frustrations.

The negatives first - finding condensation under the ventilation in pipe in the loft had caused some staining on the bedroom ceilings; being told that my floor timber had been sold to someone else causing a two week delay; being told my stair treds hadn't been kiln dried yet; missing kitchen units being pushed back another week; deliveries not happening when they were promised, discovering some of the floor leveller had been laid on some sandy rubbish and was loose and needed to be chipped off and relaid - all in all a pretty average week!

However we did get a lot done.  The kitchen was started and a large chunk completed - the units are from Ikea and we just need to get the last 3 base units and the appliances on site so we can make the optimal use of available space.

The utility was started using the same units as in the kitchen.

The bathroom progressed with a couple of handy hits from readers of this site helping me sort out my drilling through floor tile problem - make a well using Blutack and keep the drill bit wet - problem solved - Thanks all.

The ground floor stoning was almost finished and it looks great.  When we discovered the condensation problem with the vent pipes we wrapped it in insulation - it will need a vapour barrier as well at some point but should get us through the next few weeks.

Other than that painting of skirting and architrave..... lots and lots of it!
