The stone floor got finished! Well still need to treat it but at least it's all
laid - we all got the amount of time needed for this job TOTALLY wrong but the results are well worth the extra time - it looks great.
The kitchen also progressed with final measurements being able to be made for the
worktops - current thinking is stainless steel but we'll see what the cost comes down to!
We also got the (ordinary) worktop and sink fitted in the utility and continued cutting and painting skirting boards.
TV and phone points were fitted.
We hired a floor sander (for concrete floors) and made as much dust as you can imagine - but now the floors upstairs are all flat and smooth ready for timber to be glued to them.
Upstairs also saw some work in the bath room - grouting around the bath and fitting the shower enclosure. Slight mistake there.... we have 1100 mm trays and I thought oh well we'll use a 1200 slider door and just
overlap the doors a bit more. I totally forgot to consider the frame of the door or the resultant opening you would get. Suffice to say I had to cut the frame to fit and whilst the door opening is OK it will
ensure we hold off from the pies!!
