 19th to 25th December 2005

We've actually got some finished stairs in the house - not the main ones yet but the ones leading from the basement to the ground floor.  It takes a lot to remember they are there and use them rather than trekking around the outside of the house as we have done for the last 2 years!!

We also managed to lay the tiles in one of the basement rooms - nothing fancy - cheap and practical but at least that meant that we could put the heat pump and thermal store in place - almost. The size of the small white box looks odd against the bloated tank - hope between them they will be able to keep the house warm!!

To fill in the time till Santa arrived we did more painting (why not?) put up loads of light fittings and started sorting out the ventiliation pipes in the loft to run the whole house vent system.

The blue colouration of the basement room in the photo below is not tasteful colour choice in really is bland white but that's the way the photo came out and it looked nice!
