A mad week...

The footings for septic tank, dosing chamber, steps to front door and some reatingin wall extensions were concreted, the tank placed in the hole and then started to be backfilled with more concrete, the tretaining wall was built and the stepa started.  The only fly in this ointment was finding a leak in the spetic tank which was quickly patched with some fibreglass - live would be SOOOOOOO boring if everything went as expected first time wouldn't it?

Whilst this was going on we continued hanging and varnishing the internal doors and painting the miles of skirtings and walls - as well as the stair stringers.

Some light fittings went up in the dining room and kitchen (LED under cupboard strips - not sure about these may need some more to give the light you need....) and we made the MDF forms on which the kitchen worktop will be stuck.

At the end of the week we started sticking the chestnut floor boards to the screed in the upstairs rooms.
